Inspired by classic table games, the Neuchâtel-based company, hosted by Microcity, announces the opening of its first online abstract strategy game. The launch took place live on Saturday, October 31 on Twitch.
In 2019, this company was created as a start-up hosted by Microcity in Neuchâtel. On April 15, it officially became a public limited company (SA) due to the excellent development of the project and the integration of several people involved in the smooth running of this innovation.
According to co-founder Bertil Suter, Abalance has been able to grow rapidly thanks to its location in the canton of Neuchâtel. The founders are convinced of the interest of this game, which has the high ambition to revisit the place of artificial intelligence in the field of abstract strategy. Indeed, the concept of the project is that the players collaborate with artificial intelligence instead of confronting it.
The gaming community had the opportunity to play this first online game "Went.ai" at its launch on Saturday, October 31. Active in the development of video games, artificial intelligence and the innovation of interactions and collaborations between humans and machines, Abalance is positioned at the heart of a technological, playful, economic but also ethical process.
